Here’s what you need to know to get started:
1. Backup Your Theme
Before making any changes or updates to your theme, we strongly recommend creating a backup copy. This ensures that you can always revert back if something goes wrong during customization.
1. Log in to your Shopify admin panel.
2. Go to **Online Store > Themes**.
3. Locate your live theme (Heaven) and click on the **Actions** dropdown.
4. Select **Duplicate**.
5. Shopify will create a copy of the theme with the name “Heaven (copy)” or similar.
6. You can now safely make changes to the duplicated version.
2. Consistent Settings
To ensure your store maintains a unified and professional appearance, the Heaven theme provides a range of global settings. These settings apply across all pages, helping you keep branding, typography, and color consistent throughout your site.
– **Typography:**
Choose your primary and secondary fonts in **Theme Settings > Typography**. Stick to a consistent typeface to reinforce your brand identity.
– **Colors:**
Set your brand colors under **Theme Settings > Colors**. Use the same accent color for buttons, links, and highlights to create a visually cohesive experience.
– **Buttons & Badges:**
Ensure your buttons and promotional badges follow a consistent style. You can adjust their appearance in **Theme Settings > Buttons**.
– **Spacing & Layouts:**
Use consistent padding and margin settings throughout sections to keep your site clean and organized.
